This position will manage communications with referral firms, oversee content developed by the firm’s third-party marketing partners, coordinate public relations initiatives, and identify effective campaign and lead-generation opportunities.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer, relationship builder, and project manager who can translate complex legal information into clear, engaging content while ensuring the firm maintains a consistent and professional brand across all communication channels.

Key Responsibilities

Website, Social Media, and Digital Marketing Oversight

  • Serve as the firm’s primary liaison with its third-party marketing firm for website, social media, and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Provide oversight and direction for content created and managed by the third-party marketing firm.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, firm leadership, and internal departments to gather accurate and timely information for marketing content.
  • Review and approve website updates, social media posts, digital campaigns, attorney biographies, practice-area pages, litigation updates, and firm announcements.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, professional, consistent with the firm’s brand, and compliant with applicable legal advertising requirements.
  • Maintain an internal content calendar and coordinate priorities, deadlines, approvals, and campaign launches with the third-party marketing firm.
  • Monitor website traffic, social media engagement, campaign performance, and other key metrics provided by the marketing firm.
  • Evaluate marketing reports and recommend content or strategy adjustments based on performance.
  • Identify opportunities to promote firm news, attorney accomplishments, community involvement, events, litigation updates, and educational information.
  • Ensure public inquiries and social media messages are promptly directed to the appropriate internal department.

Public Relations Coordination

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for the firm’s external public relations firm.
  • Coordinate media opportunities, press releases, interviews, talking points, and firm announcements.
  • Gather information from attorneys and firm leadership to support public relations initiatives.
  • Review public-facing content for accuracy, tone, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Track media coverage and maintain records of press mentions, interviews, awards, and other publicity.
  • Assist with reputation management and the development of timely responses to emerging issues.
  • Identify opportunities to increase the firm’s visibility and promote its attorneys, practice areas, community involvement, and accomplishments.

Marketing Operations and Reporting

  • Maintain organized records of marketing projects, digital assets, media contacts, vendors, content approvals, and campaign results.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines involving attorneys, staff members, referral partners, and outside vendors.
  • Prepare reports on website traffic, social media performance, lead-generation campaigns, email engagement, media coverage, and marketing results.
  • Maintain a centralized record of campaign budgets, vendor performance, cost per lead, conversion rates, and return on investment.
  • Support the development and execution of the firm’s overall marketing and communications strategy.
  • Ensure consistent use of the firm’s brand, messaging, logos, and visual standards.
  • Assist with additional marketing, business-development, and firmwide communication projects as needed.

Marketing Campaigns and Lead Generation

  • Assist in developing and coordinating marketing campaigns for the firm’s practice areas and litigation matters.
  • Research and identify reputable lead-generation companies, campaign vendors, media buyers, and other marketing partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with lead-generation and campaign-management companies.
  • Evaluate potential vendors based on lead quality, experience, compliance practices, pricing, geographic reach, reporting capabilities, and campaign performance.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and firm leadership to establish campaign goals, target audiences, budgets, messaging, and performance expectations.
  • Manage requests for proposals, vendor presentations, campaign proposals, contracts, and onboarding processes.
  • Monitor campaign performance, including lead volume, lead quality, conversion rates, acquisition costs, and return on investment.
  • Work with internal intake and case-management teams to assess lead quality and determine whether campaigns are producing qualified potential clients.
  • Compare vendor and campaign performance and recommend whether campaigns should be expanded, modified, paused, or discontinued.
  • Ensure all lead-generation activities and campaign materials comply with applicable legal advertising, privacy, consent, and ethical requirements.
  • Stay informed about emerging marketing channels, technologies, audience trends, and lead-generation opportunities.

Referral Firm Communications

  • Prepare referral-firm updates, newsletters, announcements, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Coordinate the distribution of litigation updates and other relevant information to referral firms.
  • Maintain accurate referral-firm contact lists and communication records.
  • Assist with referral-firm events, webinars, conferences, and relationship-building initiatives.
  • Work with attorneys and firm leadership to identify opportunities to strengthen and expand referral relationships.
