Low Voltage Technician – Residential & Commercial

We are seeking an Low Voltage Technician who can independently complete installations, troubleshoot problems, and consistently deliver high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling in residential and commercial new construction and existing properties.
• Independently complete installations according to project plans, company specifications, and applicable local codes.
• Troubleshoot cabling and installation issues.
• Maintain consistently high standards for workmanship, jobsite cleanliness, and safety.
• Prepare and load company vehicles with tools, materials, and equipment for assigned projects.
• Perform daily company vehicle safety and maintenance inspections.
• Document completed work using a mobile field service application, including job notes, photographs, and status updates.
• Communicate professionally with customers, construction superintendents, and team members.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
• Assist with additional installation and operational responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience:

• Previous professional experience installing and terminating low-voltage cabling.
• Experience working independently on residential or commercial construction projects.
• Familiarity with structured cabling, proper cable routing, termination, and testing procedures.
• Ability to read and follow construction plans and installation specifications.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving installation issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to complete assigned installations independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to regularly climb ladders and lift more than 35 pounds.
• Ability to use a smartphone for scheduling, job documentation, and communication.
• Willingness to maintain the required technician hand tools.
• Professional appearance, dependable attendance, and strong communication skills.

Compensation & Earning Potential

Estimated Annual Earning Potential: $65,000–$85,000+

CDI Services offers a productivity-based compensation structure designed to reward technicians for efficiency, quality workmanship, and completed installations.

• First 30 Days: Training compensation of $800 per week.
• After 30 Days: Eligible to transition to piecework compensation, calculated as a percentage of labor associated with completed jobs.
• Experienced Technician Earning Potential: Efficient technicians who consistently meet quality standards may earn approximately $65,000–$85,000 or more annually.

Important: The advertised annual range represents estimated earning potential for experienced, productive technicians. It is not a guaranteed salary. Actual earnings depend on completed work, productivity, and performance.
